A closed-circuit television camera typically abbreviated as CCTV camera also known as video surveillance is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors which can be images or recordings for surveillance or other private purposes.
Video cameras are either analogue or digital, which means that they work on the basis of sending analogue or digital signals to a storage device such as a video tape recorder or desktop computer or laptop computer.
